POhWER Volunteer Information and Recruitment Day at Harlow Central Library
Do you or do you know someone who wants to learn new skills or just keep busy and get involved in our local community? Volunteering can be really rewarding and sharing your time, skills and experience will make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
POhWER Advocacy is delighted to have been awarded funding to run a Citizen Advocacy service for people in Essex. Citizen Advocate’s are volunteers who invest their free time to provide one to one support to individuals in their local community, including helping them to access information, speak up and get their voice heard and help them to contact other relevant organisations.
We are currently looking to recruit more volunteers to meet the demand for this service. We will reimburse out of pocket expenses and our volunteers receive all the necessary training and support required.
To find out more about volunteering opportunities with POhWER, please come along for a chat and one of two short presentations at Harlow Central Library, Cross Street, Harlow, CM20 1HA. (in Harlow Town Centre) on Thursday 16th March 2017
To find out more about this event or to find out more about opportunities contact Sharon Griffiths (Community Development Worker). Telephone: 0300 456 2370, Email email@example.com
